Privacy policy

Last reviewed . This page describes every piece of data this website handles, which is not much.

1. Who publishes this site

The Weekly Report is an editorial publication produced by Weekly Report Media LLC. The site consists of static pages: a ranking of Android games, a method page, a small journal and these legal notices. There is no user account system, no comment system, no newsletter and no shop. Questions about this policy go to hello@newenglanddogsledding.com.

2. What this site stores on your device

One thing. When you accept the notice at the bottom of the screen, the site writes a single key named wgrConsent_newenglanddo_e87d2c2f into your browser's local storage with the value accepted. Its only purpose is to stop the notice reappearing on your next visit. It contains no identifier, no reference to you and nothing about what you read. You can delete it at any time by clearing site data in your browser, and the site keeps working exactly as before; you will simply see the notice again.

3. What we do not collect

There are no advertising cookies on this site, no analytics service, no tag manager, no pixel, no session recorder, no fingerprinting script and no third-party embed of any kind. We do not host video players, social widgets, comment platforms or chat tools. We do not build profiles of readers, we do not run A/B tests on you, and we have no advertising relationship with anyone. We hold no accounts, no passwords and no payment details, because the site offers nothing to buy or sign into.

4. The notice you saw, in plain terms

Some jurisdictions require a notice whenever a site writes anything to your device, including strictly functional values. That is why the notice exists here even though nothing is tracked. Its wording matches this section: no trackers, no advertising cookies, one functional flag written only if you accept. Declining by ignoring the notice costs you nothing except the notice.

5. Hosting and server logs

The pages are served by a hosting provider acting on our behalf. Like almost every web server, that infrastructure may record standard technical request data — an IP address, a timestamp, the requested path, a user agent string — for security, abuse prevention and basic reliability. We do not use those logs for marketing, we do not combine them with anything else, and we do not attempt to identify individual readers from them. They are retained only for as long as the provider's ordinary operational retention period, then discarded.

6. Fonts and other resources

Typefaces used on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to that service to fetch the font files. That request is handled under Google's own privacy terms. No other external resource is loaded by these pages: images, stylesheets and the single script file are all served from this domain.

7. Links out to Google Play

Every game in our ranking links out to its own listing on Google Play. Those links are ordinary links carrying no tracking parameters and no affiliate identifier. Once you follow one, you are on a service operated by Google LLC, and Google's privacy policy and terms apply to what happens there, including anything recorded about your visit, your account and any purchase. We receive nothing back: no notification that you clicked, no confirmation of a download, no commission. If you would rather not be identified by the store, review your settings there before following the link.

8. Younger readers

This site is a general-interest publication about games and is not directed at young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and in practice we collect no personal information from anyone, since there is nothing here to submit. Content ratings for individual games are set on their store listings, and parents should treat the listing as the authority on suitability.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data held about you, and to object to processing or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we hold no reader database, in almost every case there is nothing for us to produce or erase. If you believe we hold something about you, write to hello@newenglanddogsledding.com and we will look, answer honestly, and act within the period the applicable law allows.

10. Changes to this policy

If the site ever changes in a way that affects data — a different host, a newsletter, any measurement tool — this page will be updated before the change goes live and the review date at the top will move. We do not keep a change log of previous versions; the current text is the whole policy. Continued use of the site after an update means the updated text applies.

11. Contacting us about privacy

General privacy questions go to hello@newenglanddogsledding.com. Corrections to the editorial content of the ranking, including store figures, go to editorial@newenglanddogsledding.com instead. Both addresses reach the same desk; using the right one gets you a faster answer.
